Beyond the Box was established by Michelle Waldron to provide a range of brand building, marketing and strategic consultancy services, primarily for companies in the content creation and distribution sectors.
Michelle is a commercially astute and creative consultant with more than 20 years of marketing and communications experience, gained through working at senior level with high profile brands in both the broadcast/entertainment and mainstream consumer sectors.
Prior to consultancy she was SVP Marketing & Operations at National Geographic Television International, where, as part of the small senior management team, she was involved in business strategy and operational issues associated with building the business over an eight year period. Her marketing and communications role at NGTI both helped grow revenue and saved costs and included a wide range of activities designed to keep NGTI and its content front of mind with broadcasters, producers, the media and other key audiences.
Michelle started her marketing and communications career with a long spell in agency at Biss Lancaster plc (now Havas), where she created and implemented campaigns for a diverse range of leading brands, including Butlins, lastminute.com, Shell, Royal Caribbean International, Nestle Rowntree and Disney. During her last five years she was board director, responsible for consumer brands and grew a TV and entertainment client base that included Universal Film, BBC Worldwide, Cosgrove Hall Films, Collingwood O'Hare, Video Networks, Carlton Content and Channel 4.
Between 1999 and 2004 Michelle was also a main board director of the BTDA - British Television Distributors' Association.
Michelle is a 2011 graduate of the European Media Executive Leadership Programme and has a BA Hons in Geography from Oxford University.
